FAQs

Does the company offer services outside the installation?
Yes! The Young Bucks Irrigation team offers all of the services you need – from design, installation, and maintenance – to keep your sprinkler system running at its best. We offer maintenance packages for any system, even systems installed by a different provider.
Who designs the irrigation system?
With over 10 years of experience in the field and installation, Travis oversees all irrigation designs and installation along with his foreman. We have always believed two heads are better than one when it comes to designing systems. Travis and the foreman communicate throughout the project to ensure a high quality system is being installed.
Who is on site during an installation?
Our foreman, Bob, is on site from start to finish, informing Travis how the project is progressing on a day-to-day basis. Bob has 3 years of foreman experience along with customer relationships and is more than happy to answer any questions you may have for us.
Is there an office I can contact?
We have an office manager in our office between 9am and 4pm, while Travis is in and out of the office when he is not on a service call or job site.
What type of materials do we use?
We believe firmly in, you get what you pay for, so here at Young Bucks Irrigation we use only commercial-grade, high-end quality parts and materials. Some factors to consider are:
What material is used for outdoor plumbing?
We use copper, stainless steel or brass (depending upon the situation) because they are not as fragile as PVC or Poly pipe.
Is a reliable backflow being installed?
A backflow is required for homes within city limits. Here is a short video of what a backflow does.

Does that company have the correct equipment to install the system?
We have a machine with a trenchless vibratory plow that is minimally invasive, with the exception of undetectable boulders underground. We also have a trencher for new landscape installations that helps us put our 100psi poly pipe at proper depth (6-12”)
Wire exposure?
We use waterproof connections and conduit to prevent any wire damage. Plus we really enjoy the clean look of conduit feeding up into our clocks instead of bare wire hanging on your wall.
Is there a proper hookup for blowing out your system?
In the fall time, it is necessary to shut down sprinkler systems. For the ease of blowouts/winterization and to keep our prices competitive, we use a ¾ hose bib for our connection instead of trying to figure out where to hook up our hose.
How will the valve boxes be set up?
We try to think long term for our irrigation systems and the potential maintenance it may need. We use weed mat to cover the bottom of our valve boxes to prevent as much dirt as possible from getting inside and we use deeper than normal valve boxes to make it easier to work on a valve, which can save you time and $$$.
